Some of Johnny's recent achievements include:
- First Taiwanese designer to win the World Architecture Festival (WAF)/INSIDE World Interior of the Year in 2019 for the project JCA Living Lab.
- Invited as the Main Stage Speaker of WAF 2022
- Designed 'The Moving Kitchen' for Taiwan Railways, praised by CNN Travel as "Taiwan's most beautiful train," and recipient of the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARDS Gold — the sole Taiwanese winner of this honor in 2023.
Johnny Chiu currently serves as the President of the Columbia Alumni Taiwan, aiming to connect alumni internationally, cross generations, cross schools, and into society, starting with the Columbia Forum in Asia and GSAPP forum in Taiwan.
