Welcoming Admitted Students to Columbia University in Rome

We are delighted to invite you to a special dinner in Rome to welcome the newly admitted students to Columbia University. This event will take place at the Palazzo Barberini, offering a blend of historical elegance and modern charm. Attendance is limited to Columbia alumni, students, and faculty.

Palazzo Barberini is a historic palace in the heart of Rome, renowned for its stunning architecture and beautiful gardens. The first part of our evening we will enjoy an assortment of gourmet finger foods in the enchanting garden of Palazzo Barberini, providing the perfect setting for mingling and making new connections. After we will move indoors to continue our evening with a delightful dinner.

We are honored to have Donna H. MacPhee ’89CC P: ’17CC is the Vice President for alumni relations and President of the Columbia Alumni Association, join us for the evening. This is a unique opportunity to meet Donna and connect with her from the very beginning of your Columbia journey.

The welcoming admitted student’s dinner is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow alumni, current students, and admitted students. Share your experiences and build meaningful relationships. Hear from alumni who have made significant contributions in their fields and learn about their journeys since graduating from Columbia.

Participate in activities designed to help admitted students integrate into the Columbia community and start building their network. Whether you are an alumnus, current student, or a friend of Columbia, your presence will make this event even more special. Let’s show our support and enthusiasm for those about to embark on their Columbia journey.

Please register by paying by June 14, 60 EUR per person, to ensure we can accommodate everyone.

Donna MacPhee earned her Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and was one of the College's first female graduates. She went on to earn an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business and then dedicated her career to entities related to professional athletics, including managing finances for various departments of the National Hockey League. Donna was a member of the Columbia Women’s Varsity tennis team as an undergraduate and has emained involved in Columbia athletics over the years as an alumna, co-founding the Women's Leadership Council for Athletics (WLC). In 2008, Donna was chosen as one of Columbia's 25 most influential athletic alumnae. She has been an active board member of Police Athletic League (PAL) NYC. Donna is also a member of Columbia’s 1754 Society.
