    American Academy in Rome

    Avinoam Shalem

    Dear CU Alumni and Friends,

    Join us at the CAA Italy reunion and meeting with Avinoam Shalem on January 21, 2016 at 17:30 (5:30pm).

    Avinoam Shalem is currently the Lester K. Little Scholar in Residence at the American Academy in Rome.  He is a Riggio professor of the History of the Arts of Islam at Columbia University. Currently, professor Shalem has been directing three research projects in Florence and before he was a guest scholar at Getty Research Center and senior fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. 

    The reunion and meeting with the professor will be at the American Academy in Rome (Via Angelo Masina 5) where the guest can enjoy a private tour of the Academy:

    18:00-19:00    Welcome by Academy Director Kimberly Bowes, Andrew W. Mellon Professor-in-Charge Lindsay Harris, and professor Shalem, and drinks at the Academy bar
